By using our website and placing an order with Mantis Mayhem, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These terms are designed to ensure transparency, quality service, and the welfare of all live animals in our care.
1. Right to Refuse or Cancel Orders
We reserve the right to refuse service or cancel any order at our discretion, including but not limited to instances of suspected misuse, incorrect information, or concerns for animal welfare or delivery conditions.
2. Product Images
All photographs on our website are representative examples of our stock. The live animals you receive may differ slightly in appearance due to natural variation. Photos are not of the exact individual(s) you will receive unless otherwise stated.
3. Responsibility for Species Knowledge
We encourage all customers to research and understand the care requirements of any species they purchase. While we strive to provide accurate and regularly updated Care Guides, ultimate responsibility for proper care lies with the buyer.
4. Estimated Sizes and Growth Stages
Sizes listed for praying mantises and other live invertebrates are approximate. Due to natural growth, you may receive an individual that is larger or more advanced (e.g. a higher instar/L number) than advertised, but never smaller.
5. Species Identification Disclaimer
As the hobby evolves and new species become available, occasional misidentification or taxonomic reclassification may occur. In such rare cases, we will do our best to update customers with corrected information. These mix-ups are typically among closely related species or variant trade names.
6. Price Changes
All prices are subject to change without prior notice. Pricing adjustments may reflect stock levels, or seasonal changes.
7. Weather-Related Shipping Delays
We reserve the right to delay shipments during extreme weather conditions (e.g. temperatures at or below 0°C or excessively hot spells) to ensure the safety of live animals in transit.
8. Communication of Posting Delays
All updates regarding posting delays (e.g. due to weather or holidays) will be announced via our official social media channels. We recommend following us to stay informed about any temporary service changes.
9. Bank Holidays and Dispatch Days
We do not dispatch orders on Bank Holidays or weekends, as Royal Mail does not operate on these days. Please plan accordingly when placing time-sensitive orders.
10. Live Arrival Guarantee and Claims
We stand behind the health of our animals at the time of dispatch. To qualify for our Live Arrival Guarantee, you must:

Choose a suitable shipping method (as described in our Shipping Policy),

Be present to receive the delivery on the first attempt, and

Report any issues within 2 hours of delivery, including clear photographs of the animal(s).
Claims submitted outside this timeframe or without supporting evidence may not be eligible for compensation.
