Habitat: Found in arid to semi-arid regions of southern Africa, frequently building silk retreats under loose tree bark (such as thorn trees) or in rock crevices.
Webbing: Constructs a dense, woolly, or felt-like catch web with distinct anchor lines rather than classic orb webs.
Care Profile: General care requires warm, bone-dry conditions (temperatures around 22–26°C with minimal humidity). They do not need a water dish and get moisture directly from prey.
